BORMANN DEAD

INTELLIGENCE OFFICERS SATISFIED.

(Rec. 11.25.) FRANKFURT, Jan. 3. Allied intelligence officers are satisfied that Bormann is dead. After studying affidavits taken by witnesses unknown to each other, officers said that Hitler’s deputy was killed when a German tank exploded as, he and others were trying to escape from the Reich Chancellery shortly after the Fuehrer and Eva Braun committed suicide. Bormann was riding directly behind a tank when it was hit by a Russian shell, and flying steel from the disintegrating tank decapitated him.
