A London cable stated: A child with two heads was born to the wife of an American soldier in Birmingham. The child a female, was born prematurely and is not expected' to live. She weighs 51b 2oz and each head cries and feeds at different times. A gynaecologist in charge of the case said the heads were joined at the shoulder. Jle had never seen a similar case, though they were recorded in medical literature as occurring very rarely.

After waits of up to three mon,ths for a passage to New Zealand, ten persons, .mostly women, have been defeated by railway restrictions states a Sydney cablegram. A ship is waiting for them in Melbourne,, but seats cannot be found for them on the express from Sydney.
