(Rec. 9.30). NEW YORK, Nov. 23. Mr Josephus Daniels, former Presidential Press Secretary, writing in “Colliers” says: “Although the President receives 75,000 dollars in annual salary, his net. income is only 3000 dollars, and President Truman faces the prospect of leaving White House some day with a heavy personal debt.” Mr Daniels says Mr Truman must pay 46,000 dollars Federal tax,, one thousand dollars State tax, and 25,000 dollars White House expenses over and above what the Government meets.
