Skiffington to the Auckland District Committee against his suspension for one month by the stewards of the Ohinemuri Jockey Club was upheld. Skiffington, who rode Skyette in Maramarua Steeplechase at Paeroa on September 29, was suspended for alleged interference. At -the hearing of the appeal Skiffington stated that in the race, Skyette had broken down in both front legs. The District Committee decided to give the Hdei the benefit of the doubt.
