MANAGEMENT' COMMITTEE MEETS.

Mr L. Hunter presided at the weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the West Coast Rugby League last veening, there being also present: Rev. Bro. Fabian, Messrs J. Anisy, J. Oakley, P. Sweetman, W. Meates, C. Stone, J. Griffen, N. Messenger and T. McKenzie (secretary). Otahuhu Club wrote that their champion senior team comprising 23 members would arrive in Greymouth on Thursday, September 27 and would leave on return on October 2. It ..was decided to amend the itinerary so that they will play Blackball,, at Blackball, on Saturday, Sept. 29, and Runanga at Wingham Park, on Sunday, Sept. 30. The Junior Management Committee of the Canterbury League confirmed arrangements for the junior and fourth grade representative matches against West Coast on Sept. 23, the tqam arriving in Greymouth on Saturday morning.

Kumara Club is to be advised that they are to make all arrangements for the visit of the Hollywood team to play at Kumara on Saturday. Brunner Club, was granted permission to play senior and fourth grade matches against Waimairi (Christchurch) on Sept. 30, at times that are not®to clash with the Ru-nanga-Otahuhu match. Marist Club was'granted permission to conduct a refreshment stall at Wingham Park on September 30.

C. Goad was appointed captain of the junior representative side and J. Meates vice-captain. H. Trembath will captain the fourth grade side and F.Gutberlet will be vice-captain. Mr P. Sweetman will be manager of the junior team and Mr Cormack of the fourth grade, while Messrs . Meates and Messenger will be local managers for the.visiting Canterbury teams.

Canterbury junior team assemble at the Club Hotel and the West Coast team at the Railway Hotel, and both fourth grade teams will assemble at Wingham Park at 1 o’clock. Accounts totalling £6s' Is 9d were passed for payment. The secretary was instructed to endeavour to finalise the visit of Richmond senior team, major champions in Auckland, to plav Blackball for the club championship of New Zealand. The date suggested was October 21.

The following fixtures were arranged for the week-end:— Saturday (schoolboys): 6st . 71b grade: Kumara v. Runanga, at Kumara, at 2 p.m. (G. Hunt). 7st 71b grade: Brunner v. Marist, at Brunner, 1.30 (F. Bernard).. Sunday (Representative matches): West Coast Juniors v. Canterbury, at Wingham Park, 2.45 (J. Griffen). Touch judges: Messrs W. Moore and J. Quinn. West Coast Fourth Grade v. Canterbury,at Wingham Park at 1.30 (W. Moore). Seniors (Knock-out Final): Blackball v. Ngahere, at Wingham Park No. 2, at 1.30 (J. Quinn). Bradshaw Cup: Brunner v. Runanga, at Brunner, 2.45 (A. Kennedy). AUCKLAND TO VISIT COAST. The West Coast Rugby League has been advised that the Otahuhu Club, Auckland, will now arrive at Greymouth on Thursday, September 27, and will play two games here, leaving on October 2. The team will play Blackball on the Saturday and the following day will meet a team comprised of the other clubs. It is also hoped that the Richmond Club will visit Greymouth early in October, this club having won the senior championship at Auckland this season, and a visit from the Korodale Club (Wellington) may also take place this season. B. Nordgren, the Ponsonby and Auckland representative League football wing three-quarter, this season has broken Jack Hemi’s record for points scoring set up in 1941. Hemi scored 220 points during that season, but with more games yet to be playpd, Nordgren’s total is 227 points, made up of 33 tries, and 64 goals.
