The slip on Easson’s Hill continues to be troublesome, according to the monthly report of the Greymoutn Borough engineer (Mr. A. <J. t'anmaid). In a footbridge constructed across the partly cleared slip to aliora access to the residence on the nortn eastern side ’thereof, . provision was made for the possibility of the slip coming down further and _ puttin b pressure on to it. The provision made was helpful in that the bridge at one stage, later, was nearly pushed oft the centre pier, but suffeied no d am ag e other than to the handiail.
