Children"s Play Centre; Und.er the supervision of Mesdames T. Gilally; and L. Hall, the centre again proved its popularity on Wednesday last. Supplied with an abundance of toys and suitable games, the little ones were kept happy and contented during the whole of the afternoon. Those responsible for the safe and happy conduct of the play centre are to be' complimented for their zeal and enthusiasm, and the writer feels that full advantage should be taken by residents to further enhance the success of such a splendid innovation. Accompanied by the Mayor of Greymouth, members of the Parliamentary Select Committee visited the Strongman colliery and binns yesterday afternoon. The party, who were conducted on their tour of inspection by the manager of the mine, Mr J. Adamson, were delighted with their visit, and were particularly impressed with the modern workings of the binns
