Mr F. Ci t bush left yestorduy mor ing by air for Wellington.

Mrs A. E. Turley left by plane yesterday morning, en route for Te Kuiti.

Mr T. E. Y. Seddon has been on a visit to the West Coast during the past few days.

Mr Jas. Maye, of Totara Bridge, Ross, arrived in Greymouth last evening, and will attend the Nelson races to-day; at Westport.

Hon. C. F. Skinner, Minister of Rehabilitation, left yesterday afternoon for Hokitika, where he received several deputations. He will leave today foi' South Westland.

Mr Pat Lawlor, of Wellington, the well-known writer, and New Zealand representative of “The Bulletin”, Sydney, is at present on a visit to the West Coast. He arrived in Greymouth yesterday. Mr Lawlor leaves this morning for Christchurch.

Mr. K. Harrison, Whangarei, and formerly of Christchurch and Ikamatua, is on a visit the West Coast, and is accompanied by his son, Sapper J. N. Harrison, who recently returned from service in the Middle East.

Th e Duke of Windsor has tendered his resignation as Governor-Com-mander of the Bahamas, in which office he would have completed in August, a' term of five years, for which Colonial Governors are now normally appointed. The resignation will take effect at the end of April. , The King has approved the appointment of Mr W. L. Murphy, Colonial Secretary, Bermuda, to succeed the Duke.
