Summer Meeting ALL NIGHT’S MEMORIAL The Greymouth Jockey Club's summer meeting was held on Saturday in line, cloudy weather. The track and appointments were in good order, the attendance of racegoers was good and the racing interesting, with several close finishes. Speculation was brisk, the totalisator handling £13,748i compared with £12,4631 for last year’s fixture. Results: — NOVICE STAKES, of £llO. Six and a-half furlongs. 3/3 ROYAL TOR, Mr W. Mysterious Melody was the only scratching in the opening event. Legal Eight and Foreign Ways gave trouble at Ihe start, but eventually the field was despatched to a good start. Royal Tor led out, followed by Legal Right, and Foreign Ways. At the three furlong post Belfort, moved up, but. Royal Tor increased the lead to three lengths, which he maintained to’ the post from Belfort, with the favourite Foreign Ways one and a-half lengths away third, back, with Bitter Sweet last. Bay Aeron hung on to the load and was first into the straight, with Emerald Isle, Chinook, Navy Queen and News Agent challenging. Hamish moved up at the.three furlong' post to challenge, the leader and they lead for home, with Twelve Pointer challenging. it looked as though the issue would be between these two, but Sir Tague came on the outside to unwind a brilliant burst of speed to win by a neck, with Twelve Pointer a length and a half away and Hamish next. Grand Forest moved up to the leader at the half-mile and they entered the straight on terms from All Night and Justitia. All Night came away to win easily by two lengths from Grand Forest, Justitia finishing well to get. up and beat Rawhamai for third.
