COWIE—RYAN > The wedding took place on Saturday morning at St. Patrick’s Church, Greymouth, of Alice Mary, second Poerrua. Rev. Father Flaherty offiRotomanu, and Robert EdAvard, only son. Mr. and the late Mrs. R. Cowie, Poerua. Re. Father Flaherty officiated. The bride who was escorted by her father, wore a frock of AVhite figured silk cloque made on slimming lines with high neckline ana collar, and with full skirt falling to fom th e train. She wode a silk net veil and carried a bouquet of white flowers. She was attended by her cousin, Mrs. I. Sewell ,as matron of honour, Miss V. Cowie, sister of the bridedaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Ryan, groom, as bridesmaid, and Margaret McNeill, niece ofof the bride, as floAver girl. All were dressed in powder blue goergette frocks with full skirts trimmed with blue velvet ,and wore powder blue Dutch hats with trimmings of blue velvet and pink flowers. They carried bouquets or pink sweet peas and carnations. Mr. John Ryan, and Mr. Joe Ryan brothers of the bride attended the bridegroom. The bride was presented with horseshoes by Daphne Graham and Brian Bennison. Mr. and Mrs. CoAvie left on Saturday evening by railcar for Christchurch.
