too late! as the cimmittee had made all arrangements for the meeting and did not abandon it until four days beforehand, when it was realised that with no assistance from the Railway Department, it would be impossible to race. The course had had considerable attention. A lot of sand had been spread on the track, and at nresent it is in excellent order. Lack of the day’s racing has meant ouite a considerable loss for the Club.” The President said the Club was grateful to all those members who had paid in their annual subscription, many of whom had already offered continued support.

The Secretary (Mr. J. F. Gilbert) presented the balance-sheet, which had been audited and found correct by the Auditor, Mr. R. H. Ford. 'Mr. J. A. Mclnroe said that the Club’s financial position was reasonably good, and although a considerable sum had been spent on improvements to the track and appointments, he felt sure that when the meeting on February 10 came round, the public would again support the Club.
