Robertson was elected chairman of the Technical Hign School Board of Managers at the annual meeting of the Board on Thursday. Mr. J. H Harkness, who had been chairman for seventeen years, did not seek re-election. Mr. J. Phibbs, Junr., who is leaving to-morrow to join the Air Force, was farewelied by friends on Thursday and presented with a wallet. The possibility that teams from Papanui Technical College may visit Westport to take part in a series of games against a team from the Westport Technical High School was. mentioned at the annual meeting of tne Board of Managers on Thursday. The Westport Technical High School library recently received from the Belgian Vice-Consul for New Zealand a large bundle of literature dealing with Belgium’s part in the war. Mrs. A. Pickering has resigned her position as teacher of dressmaking at the Westport Technical Hign School and the Principal, Mr. J. Metson, has recommended that Miss G.
