TOur Own 'Corresnoncientl. Mr. J. Steedman, Postmaster at Denniston, left on Saturday morning for Hastings. r l Mr. L. Martin of the Westport Post and Telegraph staff is at present relieving Postmaster. Mr, P. Smythe left on Monday on a short holiday trip to Timaru. Mr. R. Rightson of Denniston was admitted to the Buller Hospital on Monday. . , . . , Mr. J. Allen left on Friday to take up residence in Wellington. Master C. McMahon was admitted to the Buller Hospital on Saturday, suffering from scarlet fever. Mr. G. Game left on Monday tor Wellington. Mrs. Anderson of Greymouth has left on return, after spending a short holiday on Denniston. The workmates of Mr. G. Warne gathered last Friday evening at tne Coal Company’s works to bid him farewell. Mr. S. Lewis in making a presentation of a sum of money on behalf of the other men, wished him luck in his new sphere. Other speakers endorsed these remarks and Mr. Warne suitably replied.
