Mrs V. O’Neill arrived yesterday from Christchurch.

Mr and Mrs W. Baker left for Christchurch yesterday morning.

Mr H. C. Rowe, Postmaster at Hokitika! is to leave shortly on transfer to Petone.

Fie. A. Weir, of Greymouth, who returned last week to New Zealand, afte service in Italy, arrived by yesterday’s express.

Mr R. Frederic, manager of the Railway Road Services, Hokitika, left yesterday on transfer to Christchurch.

Mr L. Reid, of Dargaville, arrived yesterday at Greymouth, where he will replace as Health Inspector Mr J. Linford, who leaves on Wednesday on transfer to Taihape.

Mr W. Cochran, of New Plymouth who has been visiting his son, Mr B. Cochran, of Alexander Street, leaves to-day on h s return to New Plymouth.

A motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mrs. J'. E. Thomas was passed at last evening’s meeting of the Greymouth Borough Council, the Mayor (Mr. F. A. Kitchingham) referring to her long and useful life.
