CYCLIST KILLED. CHRISTCHURCH, August 12. Mr. Leslie Herbert Carney, a married man, aged 24, of 106, Wilsons Road, St. Martins, died in the Christchurch Public Hospital, this morning, from injuries he received late last night in a collision on Lincoln Road. Fie was cycling near Mount Magdala towards the city when he was involved in a collision with a motor-car driven by Mr. Cecil Joseph Jackson. Mr. Carney was admitted to hospital suffering from head injuries and fractures of both legs and digl not regain consciousness. An inquest will be opened on Monday.
