Opera House Now Showing: “Tish,” starring Marjorie Main; also "Never a Dull Moment,” starring the Ritz Bros. “TISH” Down to earth screen fare with a romance running through it, introduces a new and hilarious comedy team to the public in “Tish,” based on the beloved character created by Mary Roberts Rinehart, and which brings Marjorie Main to the screen as the redoubtable Letitia Carberry, with ZaSu Pitts and Aline Mac Macon as the two inseparable cronies with whom she goes through her comical adventures. The picture is now showing at the Opera House. A head of the three fem'nine musketeers, Marjor e tears them into adventures ranging from being treed by a tame bear to a fishing trio that gets them capsized in a lake following which they spend a n’ght in gaol. She carries on a comical feud with Guy Kibbee and there are many other merry moments throughout the story. Tish is a domineering spinister, who lives with her nephew. He is in love with the daughter of the local judge, but Tish and her cronies think he ought to be in love with another girl, .and set a mirthful plot to further this romance. It gets them into all manner of complications. Then the other girl elopes with the boy she loves, their is a baby and through a tangle of circumstances Tish adopts it. A comical climax straightens out the resultant tangle. “NEVER A DULL MOMENT” The associate feature now showing at the Opera House is the uproarious musical comedy, “Never a Dull Moment,” starring the Ritz Brothers and featuring Frances Langford, Mary Beth Hughes and Franklin Pangborn.

The world’s greatest motion picture, of the world’s toughest fighting men, “Commandos Strike al' Dawn,” starring Paul Muni, is now showing at the Regent Theatre. Filmed with the co-operation of the Governments of Great Britain the United States and Canada, “Commandos Str ke at Dawn” is the story of Norwegians forcibly drawn under Nazi sunervision "to protect them’ from the English,” and the’r stirring from lethargy to form themselves into an underground movement to free their country, the movement being led by peace-lovng Eric Toreson (Paul Muni) who turns into' a relentless fighter when friends fall to Nazi guns. He kills the Colonel in command of the occupying forces and is forced to flee into the hills with h's small daughter, whom he conceals with a friendly neighbour. In the wood he stumbles across a secret airport built by the Germans. Later with the few regaining men of the village he escapes to England where he offers his services in the fight with the common enemy. He joins a Commando group as guide and later returns to his native soil to lead the Commandos to their dawn attack.
