BOXING
COBDEN BOY’S TOURNEY The second inter-school boxing tournament which was held last evening in the G’dbden School Gymnasium, attracted even a larger attendance than the ’ previous tourney. Some excellent bouts took place and the contestants showed the benefit of recent training. At the conclusion of the tourney, Rev. Brother Tarcisius presented a silver medal, on behalf of an anonymous donor, to Raymond Spencer, who was judged’ to be the most scientific boxer of the evening. Miller defeated B. Ward; C. Curtis defeated J l . Lynch; K. Russell was beaten by I. King; T. Barclavt beat I. Jenkins; T. Kilkellv was defeated by A Blackie; J. Butterfield beat R. Edwards; L. Becker drew with R. Hay; A. Walton was beaten by G. Kerr; Bourke drew with P O’Farrell; L. Turner was beaten by L. Costelloe; A. Munden drew with F'. Kidd; T. Read was beater by R. Bruce: W. Middleton fougnt a draw with M. Leonard; S. Goodall ffieat P. Conaghan; J. Martin defeated J. Walker: D. Anderson was beaten by N. McGeady; W. Kennedy beat A. Blackie; Ingl’s lefeated B. Williams; J. Finffiey drew with W. Greanev; A. Lindbom beat L. K>l- - R- Burle\ z beat J'. Havden; R. Spencer Avas beaten by C. Ross; T. Higgins defeated D. Pope; M. Kelly; was defeated by E. Mclntyre; M. Curtis beat Donaldson; N. Kennedy defeated R. Ross. The referees were Messrs J. Finlay, N. Kiely and G. Muir.
