GUMBOOTS.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —I would like to draw attention to Mr. Turley, secretary of the Timber Workers’ Union and those connected with the same union to the very much-felt want of gum boots. I am aware the miners are supplied with gum’boots, also farmers, not forgetting the poultry farmers. My husband leaves home at 6.30 in the morning and arrives home at 5 o’clock at night, no matter what the weather be, wet or fine, and does not get an v “wet time” thrown in either, although he works in mud and water all day, and yet he is unable to secure gum boots. Whv should this favouritism exist ? I will close this; letter hoping someone with more knowledge of bush work might air his views on the much needed want of gum boots in the timber industry. I am etc, „ WEBB FEET.
