LEAGUE FOOTBALL
GAMES FOR TO-MORROW
The game of most interest to Greymouth followers of Rugby League will be at Wingham Park, to-morrow where Marist will meet Ng.ahere, in the continuation of the West Coast centre’s senior competition. Despite Marist’s easy defeat by Blackball last week, the team possesses some good players, particularly in the forwards, and against a team less strong than Blackball should play a good type of football. Ngahere, Itself, plays a fine open game and was only narrowly beaten last week by Runanga who claim to be as strong, certainly not weaker than the champion Blackball side. The game should be worth seeing. The other senior fixture will be played at Blackball where the home team is to meet Brunner. Tha latter is a strong team and capable of pulling off a surprise at anytinle. Blackball has had the run of the games so far, but. would not need to relax to-morrow, or take the game easily, if it desires to emerge victor. As always Blackball can be relied up to turn on a bright display. , A junior match Marist v Runanga, the yet unbeaten team, will provide the curtain-raiser at Wingham Park, and this in itself should be interesting. A fourth grade game, Brunner v Marist will also be played there. Other games will be played at Blackball, Blackball v Brunner juniors, and at Rungana, Blackball v Runanga fourths. Marist Juniors to play Runanga at Wingham Park to-morrow (Sunday) at 1.30 p.m. Meet P.O. 12.45: Kildare, Knapp, Keating, Dargan, Willis, Mundy, Costelloe (2), Eastwicke, Stapleton, Meates, Stokes, Malloy, Brow'n (2).
