At a sitting of the Warden’s Court held in Reefton the following applications were dealt with:—Terrace Coal Mine Ltd., for a coal lease over 3 acres 2 roods in Blk. XIV Reefton S.D., also for an extension of time within which to dispose .of the application for coal lease. —Both granted. Burnwell Coal Co., Ltd., for an extension of time within which to dispose of application No. 34/43.—Granted. Thomas David Blackadder and John William Osborne for an ordinary prospecting license over 100 acres in BLK., XVI Rahu S.D. and Blk. IV Lewis S.D.—Granted. Waitahu (N.Z.) Collieries Ltd., for renewal of coal lease No. 1335 for a term of 24 years.—Withdrawn. Cecilia Margaret Morris for reduction of rent oh two claim licenses.— Grantd. Associated Gold Dredges (N.Z.) Ltd., to surrender absolutely portion of special dredging claim held under license No., 8746.— Accepted as from 31st December last. Murray Creek (Consolidated) Ltd., for reduction of rent on four claim licenses.—Recommended for Minister’s consent. Susan Ethel Dean for leave to hold a residence site in addition to her interest in site license No. 8852/—Granted. James Randall Collins, for a special site license over 4 acres 2 roods also a water-race license, one head of water, in Blk., II Waitahu S.D.—Granted. Frederick George Dean for leave to hold an additional residence site, also to register assignment of residence site not withstanding the prescribed period had elapsed.—Granted. Norman Clarke for an extension of time within which to dispose of application No. 60/42.—Recommended.
