BOY’S CRIME RECORD
SYDNEY, December 24. A police witness said at Newtown Court, Sydney, that' a boy of 14 who was called as a crown witness had been convicted of; safe-blowing and had escaped from' custody bn seven occasions. Another boy, Who gave his age as 15 years and 2 months, on the application of the palice prosecutor, Sergeant Barber iias treated as a hostile witness. (He said - that he and the bov of 14 proke into a toolshed at National Park and took an acetylene outfit, which they) sold to a man for £4. (He said he could not identify anyone in Court as the man who had bought the outfit. Norman Keiith St. Julian, aged 27, motor mechaijlic, was committed for trial on a' charge of having received an acetylene .'/outfit, well knowing it to be stolen, Bail was fixed at £4O
