NEEDED IN INDIA “ SYDNEY, Jan. 10/ Lord Louis Mountbatten’s Southeast Asia Command is depending on Australia and New Zealand for important military supplies. Members of the Eastern Group Supply Council have been conferring with the Commonwealth military munitions and supply officials. “Any; help given by Australia or New Zealand to the forces based on India is a definite contribution to the defeat of the common enemy,” said the chairman of the delegation. “It will contribute to that end just as effectively as if given forces based in your own Southern iPacific areas.”
