AZORES BASE
LOCAL LABOUR USED.
(Rec. 6.30.) LONDON, Dec. 13. The landing of British forces in the Azores was speedy and efficient. Within two days roads had been mane and aircraft were operating from airfields. The Air Ministry News Service says local labour was organised for the construction of the base.
