PAY AS YOU EARN
AUSTRALIAN INCOME TAX PROPOSAL.
(Rec. 9.55.) CANBERRA, Dec. 2. A Commonwealth Parliament Ail--Party Committee will meet within a fortnight to examine proposals for the introduction of the “Pay-as-you-earn” system of taxation. The Treasurer, Mr. Chieflev will be chairman of the Committee, which will consist of six members, the majority of whom are said to favour the “Pay-as-you-earn system." v '
