SHORTAGE OF LIQUOR
NEW YORK “HOOCH” VICTIMS. (Rec. 10.40.) NEW YORK, Nov. 30. Doctor Gettler, New York city toxicologist, commenting on . a current shortage of liquor, said that three people had diejd in the past ten days as the result of drinking bad alcohol. Dr. Gettler said: “We will have a repetition of the Prohibition days, when twenty died in New York every week from drinking poisonous alcohol, unless better grades of liquor are nut back on the market.”
