N.Z. WAR EFFORT

Beyond its Capacity MR. S. G. HOLLAND TELLS SYDNEYITES. (Rec. 11.50.) SYDNEY, Nov. 30 Mr. S. G. Holland, Leader of the Opposition in the New Zealand Parliament, in a speech at the Sydney Million Club said that the time was coming when it would not be possible for New Zealand to maintain the demand for military reinforcements and at the same time to provide workers for munitions and essential industries, as well as to meet the demand for food products. Mr. Holland said: “At the last elections, civilians put the Labour Government out, but the servicemen voted them back again.’’ He said he expected that at the next election there would be a change of Government, and the object of his visit to Australia was to studv mutual problems, and how they could best be solved.
