RELATION TO U.S.A. SIR N. ANGELL’S VIEW . (Rec. 10.45) LONDON, Nov. 29. Sir Norman Angell in a broadcast address, said: “American security is bound ud with the existence 0f,.. the British Empire. At this very moment some people in America are warning us that the Empire . ought to be dissolved, when great American forces and resources are',, pouring into India. Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Isles, East and West Africa and into Britain itself to ensure the British Empire’-s defence. A famous American general is at present in command in Australia, because the holding of that British Dominion is necessary for J'apan’s defeat. Until an international organisation appears, the British Empire and Commonwealth must continue to function, not only for the security of British communities stretching from Britain through Africa to Australia and New Zealand, but for the security of all free nations.
