[Our Own Correspondent]. There are still large quantities of whitebait being caught in both the Big and Little Wanganui Rivers. The price remains satisfactory from the fishermen’s point of view. Master Rae Osmers was burnt .about his hands and face whilst burning rushes on his father’s farm last week. Lucas was attacked by a white leghorn rooster on Friday afternoon while playing by herself in the backyard. Without warning; the bird pounced upon the girl scratching her face in several places with its claws. Mrs Lucas, hearing the child screaming, came to the rescue and drove away the rooster, which was later destroyed. The bridge over Johnny Walkers I Creek, giving access to Mr T.
