STABBING AFFRAY

P.A. INVERCARGILL, Oct. 19. A quarrel between seamen ended in a fracas, and in one of the crew being stabbed in the back. The victim of the stabbing, John Alcorn, aged 19, was admitted to Southland Hospital with serious injuries to his back. His condition to-night was reported serious. Two men were arrested and will be charged with assault causing bodily harm.
