RAIL-CAR TRAGEDY

HOKITIKA MENTAL PATIENT.

STRUCK NEAR SEA VIEW. STATION. P.A. HOKITIKA, juiy 16. , A tragedy occurred on the railway line this afternoon at the northern end of the town. A mental hospital patient, Edward Hibbert, was struck by; a' rail-car at the Borough boundary. Hibbert, who was 36 years ot age, was killed instantly by the impact. The body was badly: mutilated. The relatives of the deceased man are rseidents of Christchurch.
