Beef, veal and baconer prices rose at this week’s Addington Market, due to fewer entries. Some trucks of cattle from West Coast and southern areas were offered. Extra prime heavy steers sold to £23 17s 6d. Prime heavy steers, £l9 5s to £2l 10s. Prime medium-weight steers, £l7 to £l9. Ordinary steers, £l3 10s to £l5 10s. Light steers, to £l2 15s. Extra prime heifers, to £lB 17s 6d. Prime: heifers, £l3 to £l4 15s. Medium heifers, £9 to £ll 15s. "Light heifers to £8 15s. Extra prime' cows, to £l5 2s 6d. Prime cows, £lO 15s to £l2 10s. Medium cows, £7 15s to £lO 10s. Light and aged cows, £5 to £7 10s. Extra prime wethers sold to 50s 4d. Prime wethers, 44s to 47s Id. Prime medium weight wethers 39s to 425. Ordinary wethers, 31s to 345. Extra prime ewes to 40s 4d. Prime ewes, 33s 4d to 37s 6d. Prime medium weight ewes, 27s to 31s 10(1. Ordinary ewes. 18s lOd to 24s 7d. The highest price for a lamb was 47s Id and three sold at 46s l()d. Other sales were one at 46s Id and four at 45s lOd. The biggest line 51, sold from 33s lOd to 44s 2d.
