fO”r Own Correspondent.] Miss Noeleen Scott, who has been visiting Westport, has returned home. Miss Myra and Dorothy Ward have returned to Nelson. Mr. C. McTigiie is at present a patient at the Grey River Hospital. At the June meeting of the Runanga Women’s Institute, Mrs. Barker presided over a good attendance and welcomed new members, and visitors from Blaketown. Mrs. Sweeney read the Aspirations. Mrs. Hassen gave a report on the recent conference held in Greymouth. Headquarters. Notes from "Home and Country" were read. Delegates expenss to the conference in Christchurch were discussed, and it was decided to hold a bring and buy at the July, meeting. Members mm. bring a Jr end. To help the “Miss . Russia” camuni rm it was decided «- to hold a social afternoon, the committee to make the arrangements. Mrs. Mann (Blake town) demonstrated- Howers made from coloured felt. The competition winners were: Hand-knit-ted gloves: Mrs. Braithwaite 1, Mrs. Sweeney 2, Mrs. Hassen 3; puff pasttry tarts: Mrs. Pattinson 1. Mrs. Hassen 2, Mrs. Sweeney 3.
