MORE THAN 80,000. CR ® c - 10 - 4 -i WASHINGTON, May IS. United States war casualties’ for the first seventeen months of the war totalled more than eighthy thousand, consisting of the following:— Navy 7,200 killed; 4,700 wounded: 12,000 missing.
Army: 6,000 killed; 12,000 wounded; 25,000 missing; 14.000 taken prisoner
The Armv suffered an additional five thousand casualties last month in the Tunisian campaign.
