DR BENES IN U.S.
POST-WAR CZECHOSLOVAKIA. (Rec. 8.30.) WASHINGTON. May 14. Addressing the Senate, Dr. Benes promised that Czechoslovakia would be reconstructed after the war and a democracy devoted to the ideal of peaceful international collaboration. He recalled that Czechoslovakia d'd its duty till 1939 by following the policy of collective security. ,‘The Second World War began with the criminal occupation of Prague,”"he said “Hitler’s demands and attacks against Czechoslovakia should have been rejected eyen l at the cost of war. We were ready but the western Powers were not.”
