FEDERAL WAR BUDGET
WILL PROBABLY EXCEED £100,000,000. CANBERRA. May 11At the present rate of war expenditure Australia’s Budget estimate for the year will probably be exceeded by more than £100.000.000, The Treasury has announced that Australia’s war expenditure for the ten months ended on April 30 was £451,445,000. This represents more than £11,000,000 a week. r lhe total is already £11,445,000 more than the Budget estimate of £440,000,000 for the .financial year. Of the money already spent £359,484,000 came from loan funds and £91,961,000 from revenue.
