The following Air Force casualties were announced to-day (all members of the R.N.Z.A.F. and rank Sergeant unless otherwise stated): — Killed on active service: Ackroyd, Vivian J., Temuka; Burt, Harry 1., South Melbourne, Australia; Helme, Pilot Officer Jack, Christchurch; O’Neill, Leslie J., Waimate; Shroff, Pilot Officer Owen M., Takaka; Smith, Pilot Officer Maurice V., Wellington. Missing on air operations: Baulf, Ivan H. W. Papakura; Coates, Acting Flight Lieutenant John W., T’aumarunui; Jenner Albert J., Auckland; McMillan, Flight Sergeant Norman A., Thames. Injured on active service: Lovegrove, Frederick, T., Auckland; Logan, Clarence R., Auckland. Seriously injured on active service: Newman, Pilot Officer David W., Hokianga. Slightly injured on active service: Campbell, Warrant Officer Anthony R., Waipara, North Canterbury. Previously reported missing; death now officially presumed: McLeod, Matthew L„ Wellington; t Hooper Percival J., Manaia.
