RUGBY FOOTBALL
COBDEN CLUB. Mr F. W. Baillie presided over the annual meeting of the Cobden Football Club on Monday evening. The following officers were elected: Patron. Mr T. A. Gilmour (re-elected); president, Mr F. W. Baillie (re-elect-ed) ; vice-presidents, Messrs F. Eggleton senr.. W. Mcßean, W. Jackson, W. Kells, J, Lindbom. W. Gieseking, A. Bennett, F. Eggleton junr., J. Tanner; club captain, Mr A. Lindbom (re-elected); secretary-treasur-er. Mr G. Todd (re-elected); committee, Messrs A, Bellamy, W. Mcßean, J. Keating, B. Mettrick, G. McLean. B. Watkin, R. Cochrane, J. Haddock. T’he annual ■ report and balancesheet were. read. The latter showed a good credit balance.. It was decided to nominate a senior team and a third grade team in the W.C.R.U. competitions, the subscriptions to be the same as last season—ss for seniors and 2s for third graders. Training will begin to-morrow and arrangements were made for a working bee to prepare the gymnasium and ground.
