Foreign Jews in France

RAILED TO EAST EUROPE. (Rec. 8.40.) LONDON. March 24. The Vichy Government has resumed the shipment of Jews to Poland and .Eastern Europe under conditions which for old and ailing persons are tantamount to death. Informed circles in Berne say that, a contingent of 2,500 of the foreign Jews in France aged! 18 to 60 years, were last week sent from a camp near Lourdes. They were locked in groups of from 50 to 60 in cattle trucks, with little food for a journey of six days, and many died en route.
