(Rec. 9.50) NEW YORK, Jan. 23 The “New York Herald-fi’ribune's” Washington correspondent says: Authoritative British quarters predict that the scales of the lend-leasp system will be evenly balanced at tho end of the war in New Zealand and in Australia. There the wulk ot uib food being consumed by the /American forces is supplied from these Dominion’s farms, and the lend-lease “in reverse” is in full swing in New Zealand and Australian populations on reduced rations in order to supply the American fighting machine.
