ARMY PROMOTIONS

P.A WELLINGTON, Jan. 23. In the Second N.Z.E.F., Lieutenants C. F. Skinner, M.P., K. C. W. WestWatson, and I. L. Murchison, M.C., become captains. Captain A. M. Everest is promoted to major. Second Lieutenant A. I. Cottrell, W'ho is a prisoner of war, is promoted to Lieutenant. Arnone; officers appointed to the Second N.Z.E F. are Major E. E. Lloyd, Major G. F. McCulloch, Captain J. L. Knowdes, and Lieutenant J. P. Brodie. Lieutenant-Colonel M. A. Stedman, M. and Major S. W. B. Brooker. M.C., V.D.. are seconded for duty with the Second N.Z.E.F. On the New' eZaland Temparary Staff, Lieutenant H. Kitson becomes Captain. Second Lieutenant A. Dewhirst and Mr L. C. Webb are appointed Captains on the Temporary Staff. Lieutenant H. C. Knubley, M.C.. is promoted to Captain in the C.Y.C., and Second Lieutenant R. G. F. Kingscote to Lieutenant. Promotions in the Canterbury Regiment include Captain J. P. Gresson to be Major, Lieutenants T. Reid and F. S. J. Renner to be Captains, Second Lieutenants G. E. Hattan. J. A. G. McGregor, N. W. Wass. J .G. Forbes, J. Boyd-Clark. A. B. Duncan. F. G. Dunn, G. D. Wise, W. D. Crombie, and W. J. Mac Gibbon to be Lieutenants. Dr. S L. Brow'ker is appointed Lieutenant in the Medical Corps.
