WORK RESUMED AT LINTON

INCREASE IN TRUCKING RATES.

P.A. INVERCARGILL, Nov. 26. Work was resumed, to-day at the Linton coal mine, which was idle on Wednesday because of an alleged delay on the part of the Coal Mmes Council in deciding the terms of the trucking contract, which was referred to the Council when it visited Southland about a fortnight ago. The new conditions provide for an increase of at least 10 per cent, in contract trucking rates, retrospec five to the date of the Councils visit.
