ON “SLUSHY" SONGS
(Rec. 11.55) LONDON, July 21. The 8.8. C. has decided to impose a ban as follows: (1) On any foim of anaemic debilitated vocal performance by male singers; (2) insincere over-sentimental performances by women singers; (3) numbers that are slushy in sentiment, suggestive, or otherwise offensive to good taste, religious and allied susceptibilities; (4) numbers based on tunes borrowed from standard classical works.
