NEW SERVICE FOR WOMEN. P.A. CHRISTCHURCH, June 3. The formation of a New Zealand Women’s Royal Naval Service, similar to those in Britain, Australia and Canada, is now in progress.. The director of the “Wrens,” as they are popularly known in Britain, is Miss Ruth Herrick, .of Napier, Dominion Chief Commissioner of the Girl Guides, who is taking up her appointment this week.
