FATAL COLLISION
TRAIN AND' LORRY IN AUCKLAND. P.A. AUCKLAND, June 3.' A man was killed and a boy injured when a lorry proceeding from Oranui Sawmill toward Putaruru with a load of timber collided with a Taupo Timber Company’s train at the crossing on the main Taupo-Pu-taruru road. The victims were:— Trevor Hose, aged 21, single, a truck driver employed by Tuck Sawmill. Onanui, killed. Reymond John Inglis, aged 15, also of Oranui', a passe'nger in the truck, injured. The boy was taken to the Waikato Hospital. His injuries are serious. The truck was completely wrecked. Several of the Taupo Timber Company’s timber waggons were derailed.
