NEW BOOK
"GUERILLA PATHS TO
FREEDOM”
Lessons of guerilla war in Spain, China, Yugoslavia, Russia and other countries are given in detail, in a book by Rupert Lockwood, which is now being published by Angus and Robertson (Sydney).
Mr Lcokwood shows that guerilla war is a British tradition, that although the term is popularly associated with Spaniards, Cossacks and Balkan peoples, Britain produced seme the greatest guerilla pioneers.
Mr Lockwood devotes many pages to the latest tactics of the guerilla bands in China and‘ Russia, all of particular interest to Australian civilians, who might be called on tc wage war in similar circumstances if Japan invaded us. “Guerilla Paths to Freedom” should also be useful to those sections .of the Army studying' guerilla war in Australia to-day.
