APPOINTMENT QUESTIONED.
(To the Editor). Sir,—The letter, “Appointment Questioned,’’ published in this mornr ing’s issue of the “Argus,” reads to me like a “Sob” story. It states that the wife of a well-circumstanc-ed man was appointed to a position, at a railway station, for which the wife of a soldier, serving his country, had also applied. That efficiency is of greater National .Service than sentiment, is the opinion of “ANOTHER SOLDIER’S WIFE.
