IDEA OF COMPROMISE. (Rec 9 0.) MADRAS, April 25. A dramatic move has been.made bv the Madras Congress Party towards securing a National Government in India S The Party has passed a resolution calling for a consultation with the Moslem League to obtain Hindu and Moslem co-opera-tion for that purpose. The resolution also recommended that the Moslem League’s claim for the separation of those provinces with a Moslem majority should be granted if the Moslem League persisted in it When the time came for framing India’s new constitution. CALCUTTA, April 20. Doctor Azad, Head of the Indian National Congress, expressed pam and surprise concerning the Madras Congress Party’s resolution. He also rebuked Rajagopalachan, who was responsible for the resolution. (Rec. 11.20.) CALCUTTA, April 26. Mr Nehru expressed disagreement with the Madras Congress Party’s resolution. He said that the resolution was undesirable at any time, and was extraordinary on the eve of the Working Committee and Congress meetings.
