N.Z. & RUSSIA

QUESTION OF CONSULS. P.A). WELLINGTON, April 27. Thg Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. P. Fraser), stated tq-day that the question of an exchange of consular representatives between New Zealand and Russia, was receiving the attention of the Government. “The amount of trade between New Zealand and Russia has never been very large and therefore the matter is not one of urgency'from that point of view,” he said, “but any suggestion on the subject from our ally which would lead to a furtherance of our joint war effort will, of course, receive most favourable consideration.”
