[Aust. & N.Z. Cable Assnj . WASHINGTON, March 17. The Maritime Commission disclosed that a new super-dimensional shipyard was completed for the production of 200 “Liberty” merchantmen. The shipyard contains a new secret adaptation for the construction of ships bv means of an assembly line like the most modern in car plants. All the 200 ships, each ot 10,500 tons, will be completed before the end of 1942.

Reports state that several hundred thousand tons of ocean-going Dutch merchantmen, which were recently operating in the Netherlands East Indies, have been added to the pool of Allied shipping. The entire Netherlands merchant fleet, estimated at over 2,000,000 tons, is now making valuable contributions to the Allied war effort. ;
