GERMANS FAIL
TO SECURE NORWEGIAN SHIPS.
(Rec. 10.40). STOCKHOLM, March 17.
The Supreme Court recognised the immunity of Britain in connection with the arrest of ten Norwegian ships in Gothenburg on November 2, and ordered their release . The case was the result of an attempt by the Germans to secure’ control of the ships, which had been handed over to Britain by the Norwegian Government. Sweden had attempted to serve a writ on the British Government, ’which claimed immunity.
